Ekstra Dansk med Helene

 

 

There is now a possibility for PYP students to expand their Danish knowledge with me, Helene!

I have been a substitute for the Danish A since Semptember, so I know many of the PYP students and they have had previouosly had me as a teacher. I myself have gone to an international school, so I recognize first hand the problems multilingual children face when it comes to Danish. Before I start the class I would like to know what areas the children (and parents) would like to work on. I will coordinate with the other PYP Danish teachers at the school in order to prevent material being used again. I will aim to use material within Danish culture, so that the students can gain a general understanding of danish literary culture and history. 

In PYP1 and PYP2 there will be a focus on writing and spelling, with special emphasis on the extra alphabet letters: ÆØÅ.

In PYP3-5 there will be a continuation of improving spelling, reading, and grammar. The oldest will analyse harder and longer texts as preparation for MYP. 

The classes will be one hour long for PYP3-5 and half an hour for students from PYP1-2 every Tuesday.

 

PYP1-2: 14:35-15:05
Price: 150 DKK per month.

 

PYP3-5: 15:05-15:35
Price: 200 DKK per month.
